The blog has changed, too, and I thought I might try writing more often... I have a Lexus NX350, and I think it’s been about 5–6 months since I got it.
But I think I’ve only had it washed twice in those 5–6 months. I had it hand-washed, but the place that does a good detailing hand wash is a bit far away, and I also found it a little annoying to take the bus back after dropping off the car. So, about a month ago, I guess? I bought some car-washing supplies. I think they cost around 120,000 won.
There’s an indoor self-service car wash near my neighborhood, so I booked a spot there. They’ve got a pretty good system these days!! But what? 22,000 won for 60 minutes?? I heard the price is going up by 2,000 won starting December 1.
At that price... I did think it might be better to just pay a bit more and have it hand-washed, but I’d already bought the supplies, and I wanted to try washing the car myself, so I booked a spot and went today.

LOL, fucking unbelievable... I’m pretty sure there weren’t any scratches, at least up until I used the air gun after washing the car.. But when I parked at the sauna to take a shower and checked, there they were.. Scratches.. On the right side near the trunk and on the right rear fender, I think.. three lines in total.. LOLLLLL I paid 22,000 won and spent an hour sweating buckets and working hard because I had no idea what I was doing.. And in the end, what I got was a trident.
Still.... well, whether it’s 22,000 or 24,000 won, I think it’s nice to go and wash it myself every now and then. But after washing the car, you have to put all the supplies you used through the washing machine, dry them, and take care of them... Maybe just paying someone to do it is the wiser choice..
The scratches are noticeable, but they don’t seem to be deep gouges, at least ㅠㅠ I hope they disappear when I get the car polished later..
End of my first car-washing experience.
