</urlset>I was wondering how to set up the sitemap, so I added every post to it. A sitemap can contain 50,000 links. I made this change on November 23.
According to the Google Search Console data, URLs started being removed exactly on November 23.
What's more, as shown in the image, most—if not all—of the posts encountered these two issues:
크롤링됨 - 현재 색인이 생성되지 않음
발견됨 - 현재 색인이 생성되지 않음
But even several days after these issues started occurring, it didn't seem like Google was trying to crawl the pages. And even when it did try, it wasn't indexing them.
Perhaps listing every post in the sitemap makes things worse, since the priority value is the same for all of them.
Personally, I also don't think lastmod is very helpful...
크롤 예산, Google doesn't even attempt to crawl the pages.https://ggami.net/sitemaps/categories
I changed the sitemap from being based on posts to being based on categories, as shown at the URL above.

</urlset>For now, I changed and submitted the sitemap on December 2, so I think I'll have to wait a little longer to find out.
For example, ggami.net's sitemap is
https://ggami.net/sitemapsbut I don't submit a 색인 생성 요청 for this URL.
I requested indexing for no particular reason, and after I did, sitemaps started appearing in Google search results.
I'm not sure whether this is helpful or not,
I changed the canonical exactly from posts/195/구글 서치콘솔 사이트맵 to posts/195.
For self-referencing internal links, the ggami.net domain had always been included, so I removed the domain from those as well.
On December 22, the posts have started appearing little by little, beginning one or two days ago. Google Search Console still doesn't show them as indexed, and the indexed page count isn't increasing, but the blog posts are actually starting to appear in search results little by little.
This is just my personal opinion, but it's better not to use canonicals indiscriminately, and the shorter the URL, the better. You shouldn't put every blog post in the sitemaps. (It seems that, because of rate limits, bots may actually stop indexing them.) It seems best to configure things so that Google search bots can follow the pagination properly. Then it seems that Google search bots will go through the pages and fetch them on their own. I think this is actually a better strategy.
We'll have to see what happens from here, but although I've made several SEO changes since November 18, it seems that, in the end, letting Google search bots discover pages on their own and navigate through the pagination to retrieve them is the fastest and best way to get them to appear in search results.
For post-oriented sites like blogs, I think submitting every post in the sitemaps (excessively) is actually a bad idea.
Of course, what I've discussed so far is whether the site gets SEO exposure, and from here on, I may need to focus on improving its SEO ranking.
