The weather has turned cold, and the sun isn't coming up.

It's 6:03 a.m., but it's still pitch-dark outside the window..

The weather got really cold starting the day before yesterday, and I went out dressed too lightly—I thought I was going to freeze to death..
Just last week, around this time, it was starting to get light outside the window..
Seeing that the sun still hasn't come up, it feels like winter started overnight.

I hope my working hours get longer too, now that the nights have gotten longer.
