Hermes has a memory.md file, but...

There’s something called Honcho, but self-hosting it is difficult right now, and it requires something like an OpenAI API key. Since it would cost money, I’m passing on it for now. I saw someone post something on Reddit, so I tried installing that instead.
uv tool install hermes-local-memory
hermes-local-memory install-shim
hermes-local-memory sync-skillsmkdir -p ~/.hermes/memory
export LOCAL_MEMORY_DB=~/.hermes/memory/local_memory_trial.sqlite
hermes-local-memory --db "$LOCAL_MEMORY_DB" import hermes-markdown \
--source-dir ~/.hermes/memories \
--user-peer alice \
--assistant-peer bob \
--dry-run \
vim ~/.hermes/config.yamlmemory:
provider: local_memoryhermes gateway restartThat’s how you set it up.
But honestly, I’m still not sure if it’s any good.

A better option than this, https://github.com/TencentCloud/TencentDB-Agent-Memory, has been released.
I installed this one.
