While updating CentOS 8 this time, I also wanted to update Docker Compose.
Stop all currently running docker-compose services.
1.docker-compose remove
rm /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
rm: remove regular file '/usr/local/bin/docker-compose'? y2.docker-compose install
curl -L "https://github.com/docker/compose/releases/download/1.26.2/docker-compose-$(uname -s)-$(uname -m)" -o /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
chmod +x /usr/local/bin/docker-compose
docker-compose --version
Enter the version you want to use. The latest version is currently 1.26.2, and 1.27.rc has been released. (1.27 will probably be officially released in 2021...)
And that's it.
You just need to restart all the docker-compose services that were running.
It's not particularly difficult, but with several docker-compose services running, it can get confusing and a bit tedious. It would probably be convenient to make a shell script for this later (?)
